Hey, anyone hear of a possible vinyl offering on this release. Kranky is one of my favorite labels...and (most) everything used to be available on vinyl...why not this one? doesn't make much sense. "Take my money already!" lol - totally agreed! Somebody is dropping the ball. :/

I'd like to add my voice to the chorus. I just saw 5 minutes ago that this has been reissued on bandcamp and I was heading straight there to get it on vinyl, but it's CD only at present. Take my money already! One of my favorite Kranky LPs ever.

If you're on this page because of the Range Rover advertisement, well rest assured you are not the only one.I discovered this act due to the inclusion of Aegina Airlines on the aforementioned vehicle manufacturer's television advertisement, and upon hearing this entire album I can say that my expectations have more than been met.The Dead Texan album is a sublime cross between Brian Eno and Boards Of Canada. For both respective artists, read their ambient output.Yes, this truly is an ambient piece.It does not read as one entire piece (as Ambient 4 - Music On Land does). Moreso it reads like a BOC album. Separate pieces of sublime beauty perfectly diced, yet enjoyable as a whole experience too. The silence is not an intrusion.I never thought I'd thank a vehicle manufacturer for introducing me to such a sublime album, but there you have it.* please note I have not viewed the DVD of this item, but once I do I shall amend this review.

Some albums need a vinyl release, but this one it's mandatory. Still waiting...

i can't believe this,no revieuw! this is a mighty fine album that takes you far away.fans from SOTL have to have this! the dvd is worth to have and watching with the beautifull sounds underlayerd,beautifull images.a trully masterpeace for me.....and for you?if it's not the music cd,try out the dvd and floating away with the images(use a nice stereo player with your tv for a better scapy sound).this is not the Beatles or Rolling~Stones but never mind this music stays for even years and longer!for the young ones and the elders.
