Another darkcore/hardcore prototype out of NYC. Serious heat. Randall, Grooverider, et al. rocked this record.

First Power - Domination dub. Its one of those tracks that seems to define a part of my life when going out, clubbing and then DJing meant so much and it has had a huge influence on my musical taste. It is one of the most important pieces of vinyl that I own and I still listen every now and then to remind me of the enormity of a great tune - it takes me right back but still sounds fresh as a daisy. And lets not forget that production at that time was rudimentary compared to nowadays but it stands out as a simply beautiful and emotive piece of music.

Techno history... the different sounds and layers, study, listen and learn..."Synth-It" is one of the "blueprints" to future sounds and genres that hit the dancefloor and raves thereafter. First and foremost, these are ultimate "warehouse trax" of 1990, own them.

I agree "Lapichon" a true masterpiece. This track will always be my influence. Crazy that it is still not credited for its importance.

No words to describe this masterpiece. After 24 years this record is still in my top ten chart !!

Goosepimples can only describe my feelings for this seminal techno cracker!I first heard this at a small club in Bedford , United Kingdom I in 1990!"Revalation" was this standout track of the night!!!Think 150 likeminded people bobbin up and down to one flashing strobe, a sound system to suck your stomach out and acid tabs to send you over the edge....Managed to find a copy in Eastern Block Records in Manchester UK a few weeks after hearing it and then finding the equally amazing "Synth it" with its deep ,Dark beats and strings! You cant go wrong with this one.Mundo and Andre, My ears and i thank you !

This was the jump-off release for my label Atmosphere Records. And a perfect record which for 1989 was nothing short of amazing. This is what the label wanted. My vision was music that was Atmospheric. The word trance somehow is how I remember it. Because it was not house, it was not techno. It kind of had this electro-ish, hypnotic trancey feeling to the vibes in those grooves. Anyway Mundo Muzique was a musical genius if you ask me. I am glad I can look back 16 years and think "Wow, this still is some amazing stuff."

Well Mr Bones, this is Andre Estrada aka djphenix writing this to you. Truth be told after so many years.. Mundo had nothing to do with the production of the Revelations, it was all me. The only reason he got credit was he had the hook up to the label, that's it. Mundo slept on the studio floor and watched me produce the track. He got first credit because he knew Silvio, and for some reason anyone who is billed first as the producer on the credits is some how the sole producer and the one who gets most of the credit. Mundo then rode the success of my track to further his short lived career. That's why he was never able to come out with any future tracks that sounded like Revelations, because he could not. His future track with mentasm was a hit because I showed him the juno 2 synth and showed him random note recording and jog wheel manipulation. Mundo as a producer is a lie and FAR FROM A GENUIS. talk to me if you want to know the truth... - Phenix

Found this in my then regular but now defunct record store in North London, and the guys working in there said it was boring, how can they say that?! There is only one word I would describe this release, and it would be excellent. When most of my records were stolen several years ago, I was so glad this hadn't been, even though it wasn't in mint condition anymore. First Power and Domination Dub I can only describe as beautiful, emotional acid/deep house with ambience. Way ahead of its time. Great for late night driving, chillin out to at home and meditative moments, sublime. Synth-It/The Realm is a darker electro-techno affair (I'm quite partial to a bit of darkness) with more of a breakbeat orientation containing some 303 in there too. Now this is deeeeep with tense energy, very mesmerising. Sounds great mixed in an early dark techno set circa 1989-1991. The "bonus beats" is the break which is used underneath tracks A2, B1 and B2. Thumbs up for all tracks.
