"In My System" (Part 1 - Jef K System Mix) has been hammered by Ricardo Villalobos since he had a promo on spring '10 and logically became one of the house summer hits of this year. It is a very simple, effective, slightly melancholic deep house track reminding the Chicago mid-90's tradition of labels such as Balance, Prescription or Derrick Carter's Rednail Kidz alias, with perhaps a litle more digital phatness due to the evolution of sound production fifteen years later. Chez Damier's ever moving, warm and trippy vocals contribute to this feelgood, classic house vibe. And for parisian house enthusiasts, it is justice to see Jef K getting some credits after 20 years of underground deep house fighting.Let's hope that tracks like these (including its canadian "cousin", Art Department's mighty "Without You" also from 2010) will contribute some quality deep house diggin' and renewing among the new generations of house headz.
