Feelin' Lost is such a gem, and the Rational's version of Respect (released in 1966) actually predated Aretha's much more famous rendition (released 1967). A criminally overlooked band from Ann Arbor, MI. Scott Morgan went on to play with Fred 'Sonic' Smith in Sonic's Rendezvous Band.

A really great single from these Motown boys. "Feelin' Lost" has a Beatlish feel (decidedly Lennonesque). But the real stand-out is the flip side, as these guys turn Otis Redding's soulful "Respect" into a mini-rock gem, white boy style. Similar to the Wanted's rock remake of Wilson Pickett's "Midnight Hour". It's probably no accident these gems came out of Detroit.
