Fortran - Place To Be / Sardines flac mp3 download

I really can't believe this came out in 98. Ed Rush and Optical. Legends. I really love the B side Sardines. I listened to this the other day and thought the production sounded completely contemporary. Hard to believe it was produced 17 years ago. Almost Calyx like in the bassline production, I wonder if these guys inspired Mr Cons. There are similarities between this track and some other Calyx tunes I've heard, so it wouldn't surprise me. A seriously bouncy, upbeat kind of track, there is more going on than just a phat bassline. I think this is a really well constructed dance tune from the bottom up. I'm just a lowly DJ and D & B lover. If only I had as much talent as these guys. Awesome track. Still quality, 17 years later. Enjoy.

Lets not forget Fierce on this production. He was the trifecta in Fortran, and to me his sound and efforts are def heard in Place To Be. Sardines is the tune I like best, its a perfect intro tune for both a mixtape and a live set, but Place To Be is purely meant for a giant sound system in a warehouse.
