this is the most ear fatiguing and harsh loudness wars type mastering I've ever heard. The high end is needlessly shrill, it even sounds like they may have applied an aural exciter to the entire mix just to give it 'bite'. In case you don't know, this process actually removes all the 'bass' from your drum & bass. Compared to classic analog recordings or modern albums that have not been harshly limited, these tracks have no 'oomph', no sub bass frequencies. It's really a shame, as many of these tracks are brilliant music. Luckily, several are available on other albums or on singles, and mastered not nearly so loud.
