To anyone who actually has a copy, what is the sound quality like?
  • Akirg
Sound quality is great, but the mastering is horrible... I really like it, though, the inexperience shows. At times the audio isn't balanced properly and there are hard cuts between tracks. It's not the same experience, but there's a high quality 24b 102.4kS/s version available on everyone's favorite pirate themed tracker.

I have a copy and have been toying with selling it on and off for about two years every time I need cash! So hard as I know it's 'special'. My copy has never been played. Ever. Only been out of the case a few times to show off. When I see copies going for as high as $800 (£550) I always consider it!
  • Erienan
Would be interested in bidding! Which colour cover do you have?
  • Lcena
113/300I have a draft listing set up on eBay! I just need the balls to post it!
  • BlackBerry
which variant do you have? Does your post mean you are currently considering to sell your copy?
  • Lesesshe
I didn't realize any of this. I can only dream to hear magic hours on vinyl one day...
  • Golden Lama
Search everone's favorite pirate-themed tracker, and ye shall find a copy ;).
  • Alexandra
This is literally the only press I want. I can't find it anywhere and no one is willing to sell it. I can't imagine how much a signed one goes for.
  • PanshyR
holy shit, just seeing this comment now. That's so awesome. Feel free to let me borrow it anytime you're bored with it =)

To answer your question more directly (with outdated information): I sold a signed gray copy with rough edges for just under $500 back in 2013... that was way below others on the market at that time. I gave up records, but otherwise would have kept it forever.

I got my gray copy signed by Chris, Michael, Mark and Munaf at a show they did in Mississippi way back when. This was circa 2006ish and after the show they were all beat and didn't want to be bothered by fans... Mark was taking a shower or something, so only the other three were signing anyway... but then I whipped out by baby, and Munaf says "Chris, go tell Mark we have a record he needs to come sign." So a few minutes later Mark rolls out and he says "wow, where did you get that! We don't even have a copy between the four of us!" Here's a picture of the signed copy: http://bayimg.com/JAIGdAAGmAnd here's an image of the insert (included on three colors only, including gray):http://bayimg.com/jAIGFaAgm

Time to reissue this release. PLEASE!
  • Qusserel
Yes it's damn time for a reissue now. Come on...

This LP is one of the hardest to track down. Most who end up with one tend to keep it with pride and joy. I imagine many copy's of this relic have perished since the time of there limited 300 pressing, most of which were sold at the shows during the bands first tours. If you have one of these, vacuum seal it, put it away and don't listen to it any more. Its really that special.
  • santa
If you're gonna do that, you may as well sell it.
  • Huston
Kind of can't argue with your "vacuum seal it, put it away and don't listen to it... it's that special" comment. This would definitely be one of the pinnacles of my collection if I can ever get a hold of it.
  • Sadaron above the Gods
so you were the one that paid $662,00 on ebay for it :)
  • Yozshunris
I just bought a copy of one of these blues guys and could not be prouder/happier. If you really are on the look out just keep your eyes open all the time. I NEVER thought I would find one but here I am. :D
