My copy of the Belgium release has a shortened duplicate of "Pneuma" as track 3 instead of "Twist of Space."

_Innerelements_ sees Ken Ishii expanding his sound even further, bringing in elements of Detroit and ambience that gives the album a unique personality (even if it is a compilation of mostly previously released tracks). The long tones on "A. F. I. A. C.," for instance, contrast to the skittering rhythm, and the little flourishes on "Twist of Space" keep the track floating. But album really kicks into gear with "Flurry," a track that starts out in the ether and keeps one foot resolutely there, even as it begins to sparkle more and more. "Pneuma" has an irrepressible kick drum to supplement the solina sweeps and the dark bassline, while "Fluctuation" has a funky carnivalesque sound. "Radiation 03" throws in some harsher, feedback-laden tones, while the two longer tracks, "Fragments of Yesterday" and "Kala," manage to morph enough not to wear out their welcome. A smart, enjoyable album.
