This is a recording of music meeting from 2003 played by Xavier Charles and Robert Piotrowicz. A first glance at this record might course consternation – a low – budget cover without any information except the enigmatic signs recalls the cardboard works of Corpus Hermeticum. After opening this cardboard box we have irresistibly reflection that we’ll be exposed to something unique. This CD jump off from the cardboard vigorously and its create something like Japanese origami. The listening of this 21 minutes music art editions made listener certain confusion even listener is familiar with non mainstream music. This stuff contains only one long and interwoven low- budget soundtrack and, only electronically improvisation, which is surprisingly who knows Xavier as a clarinet virtuoso playing in small or bigger but always acoustic or even electro – acoustic ensembles. The initial anxious murmurs and snatches of voices recall sound poetry works, however after a moment the listener is brought violently down to the earth by deeply vibrating sinusoids and analogs shrill feedbacks penetrating into ears. Gradually, the music overcomes the listener flowing sometimes to more “atmospheric regions of noise” . After the listening you nevertheless gain the impression that this whole sonic tempest rather recalls the spirit of old –school industrial music in it’s the most uncompromising American variety ( such as RRR Records works) than “contemporary improvised electro-acoustic music” by featuring musicians who have played with the likes of John Butcher or Chris Burn. However in contrast to old industrial music full of ardent experimental passion but far from musically perfection the experiments of Piotrowicz and Charles has a good music feeling and sonic control coming from varies an analogs sources ( hand – made instruments ). All of this leaves the listener with the impression of a perfectly, planned and organized homogeneous musical expanse. In our times of music played on ubiquitous laptops this record is uncompromising, original and surprisingly fresh insight into the aesthetics of noise
