Essential Macro, one of my favorite tapes. Recorded during their prolific stretch of releases in 1995, Crack offers a dense blast of noise. There is a lot of distortion, screeching, processing of found sounds, and the whole nine yards Macro are known for. However the tracks are composed really well with a lot of layered components. You have to listen closely underneath the soil of these tracks, but you can hear a wealth of detail. Sounds like a trash compactor crushing mountains of electronics/appliances and there is a wave of dying signals emitted in one final gasp to be saved. Highly recommended!
