This was released in 1979, when disco reached its peak. As a logical consequence, an anti-disco movement was initiated. In The Netherlands, radio presenter Alfred Lagarde started a show on Tuesday, filled with 2 hours of plain, solid, straight-into-your-ears rock named "Beton". The show became very popular and a compilation album was released along it. The album sold pretty good. However, the "beton" movement was over in 1980, when new styles of music appeared (like "new wave" and "British ska" as a result of punk flirting with disco and reggae, respectively).
