The Dark Syndicate - Feel The Fire / Do It Jah flac mp3 download

A very important track on this release here, though not so much the excellent 'Feel The Fire' on the A-Side. It's all about the flip, 'Do It Jah' for me. Starting off with a simple looped piano and immense dub bassline, the track builds up on the percussion until a heavy, heavy amen break kicks in. 'Do It Jah' is an excellent example of early junglistic sounds, with reggae samples and a strong focus on the drum and the bass. There is a section in the latter part of the tune where The Dark Syndicate remove parts from the rolling amen break and and add additional percussive elements at half speed which just gets the hairs on my neck standing.One issue that I have with the single release is the fact that 'Do It Jah' is faded out as opposed to the version featured on Rising High's 'Techno Classics Volume 2', which bugged me as I had heard the compilation version before I got my hands on the single. However it only loses about 18 seconds in total.'Feel The Fire' is a top tune also. Essential hardcore for those who like early jungle/drum & bass.
