The music is majestic, the recording quality is adequate, the Medieval chants are grand ... so, why not 4 or 5 stars?Because there is a problem: my attention span for the music of sorrow is limited. I'd say 20 minutes would have been enough to build up the solemn mood and to deliver the message at the point of emotional crescendo. Yet, the Requiem keeps on pumping heavy gloom n' melancholy for solid 76 minutes, which eventually overloads and shuts my receptors down.
