This has been sitting in my record for years. I always thought it was pretty average after checking out mad mikes disease and leaving it on the shelf for many years. I listened again recently and Monkey Jazz is heat, can't believe I slept on this for so long but a welcome surprise nonetheless.

Monkey Jazz is so full of life! Tons of swing and minor key rich synth motifs straight up in straight up UR mode. Every time I play this it's beginning to end. Instant soul refreshment. Thanks Ian.

'Monkey Jazz' is a Techno-Soul classic. All the UR influences fuse together in this track. An uplifting techno number which will have you smiling while nodding yer head on a summer's day in Utopia! 'Jarrett's Blues' is a much more downtempo track but no less effective. This EP is just great!!
