An essential release indeed ! First official track released by Frank De Wulf as B-sides (because Compression was originally on the B-side of the KK Mix released on Music Man just before ?) "Reforced" was a simple but cool face-lift of Kraftwerk's "It's more fun to compute", and the other tracks were but more typical 90 Belgian housey tracks. But "Compression" is one of the real essential tracks that built the modern techno sound. Relentless, sound-obsessive, powerfull, and with that Belgian techno sound that FDW helped defining (fat, round and lively compared to later techno styles). It is one of these tracks that turned people mad back then, but that doesn't sound silly today : the perfect link between Hard beat and Techno-house. One final guess : I think Compression was originally a diversion on "Reforced" break part. Does it, M. De Wulf ?
