Tibor Levay Ltd. - Gipsy Boobie flac mp3 download

Tibor Levay is the brother of composer Sylvester Levay. In 1986, Tibor released his only solo album, Gipsy Boobie. The title track even got a music video, and it seems like it was a pretty decent hit in the eastern parts of Europe. The album is kind of a synth pop affair with some poppy violin playing by Levay, and it also features some more or less successful ballads, and some short instrumentals in a more experimental vein. New York In The Rain is plagued by some weak vocals by Eva Adams in an otherwise catchy song, California is a cringe-worthy ballad, while The Hunt might very well be the best track (along with catchy Smak Dab In The Middle), but it would have benefitted from a totally instrumental performance, instead of Tibor's crazy vocal ideas. Gimbes Gambes is similar to the violin-infused title track, and Sun's Coming Up is a nice enough poppy number with some girlie vocals by Mr Henry. Save Your Love is a 1960s infused misfire. All in all, this album can't be called anything more than a novelty, really, and it can be stated with certainty that Sylvester was the most talented of the two Levay brothers...
