Ah thanks for that. Shame as I would have thought that such a stunning label would still be up and running...

Since i can't use the edit function any more, i'd like to elaborate:i am born 84, and thus i can't comment on the golden age of acid. ppl say the greatest acid records are recorded in the 80's, and for that time it may be true. but if i listen to these records... - i can't understand them. i guess it's because i weren't used to the sounds of that time. i didn't went to the clubs in those times and i weren't shaped by them. if i listen to what andy produced with volume two, my heart melts nonetheless. i grew up with computer sounds and i love the sound the 303. for me, it's like the e-guitar of electronic music. i can't think of a more satisfying sound doing the melodies.this record is so special to me, because it is so raw and full of imagination. each track is deep and unique. i don't care how it was made, what synthies were used. i just listen to it and feel it's pure power and honesty.his more recent tracks are all awesome and do not miss that spot for that feeling, but this one is so serious and fuckin deep, that i just can't help but name it my most favourite record of his for the time being. i absolutely love this record, and it is my deepest wish to be influenced by it for the music i will produce myself.

Andy Jenkinson obviously enjoys himself when he's making music; there's more playful mischief on your average Ceephax release than on a school bus full of fart cushions. You could write him off as some kind of acid house novelty act, if it wasn't for the fact that he pulls it off with so much style and flair. Case in point: "Vulcan Venture" - 11 minutes of harsh, caustic 303 business that engulfs the listener. To my eternal regret, I missed his Acid Karaoke at Bloc 2009 (memorably announced with the words: "We don't know how it's not going to work yet, but don't worry, it won't!"). But I can always console myself with humming "Acid Schroeder"s gorgeous 80's synths in the shower.
