Pretty sure this is the Original Issue. greet with illustrated scope on label. Plays at 45 RPM. Is way way way louder than the purple writing issue. Haven't checked against the other white label with green writing issue.

I have own both copies of White label with Purple text and the Original White label with green text, my friend has the First Pressing of Green label with black text. Green Label with black text and Original White label with green text both have great sound. IMHO I will not pay more than $20 for the White with Purple text copy. I found one back in 2001 for $50 on GEMM website, resold for $120 a few years later.

There is a bootleg of White label with green text, but there is a Original one of this record, I know because I had a Original copy of this one. You can tell them apart if you look closely.

Its not crap with terrible sound IMO- its actually a really good remix that takes a standard (albeit vg) boogie track to another level. One side is 3 minutes longer than the original at 10m 20s and is a dubbed out gem of a track. If you like a rawer Compass Point/NYC/TomTom Club sound then you'll love the Mike Macharello remix (on the purple one). The delay at the end is insane !The sound quality is slightly quieter/different than the original mix but it sounds like its just slightly degraded in placeswith tape effect (s) and will be quieter anyway as its cut at 33.

"Is way way way louder than the purple writing issue"...its a remix... thats why it's different. The "purple text" one is a remix of the green label one ( the second issue of this is the "white label with green text" one that was bootlegged 2011).Read the labels for info !

Green label with black text and White label with green text both have good sound and play at 45rpm. The White label with purple text that play at 33rpm is crap, the sound is terrible.

Anybody able to comment on the quality of this bootleg?
  • Na
the sound is really fine.loud and clear with excellent stereo definition...and it's a quality pressing.
  • Venemarr
It's ok but not great. Somewhat lacking in brightness and clarity
  • Umge
Sounds good, loud and clear better than many other bootlegs.

One of the Holy Grails of 80's deep synth-funk, "Ease Out" is indeed a supercool jam of feelgood electronic space funk with echoed/galactic synth galore, in vibe close to other delights from the same era such as Raw Silk's "Just In Time (Dub)" except this one was much rarer until it was recently bootlegged so people don't have to fetch up to $1,000 (!) to put their hands on it. Proper summer terrace tune.

The First Pressing Green Label with Black text will still fetch for $1,000 regardless of bootlegged. Very In demand by many collectors. The Bootleg copy "White with Green Text" has better sound than this (Special Re-mix) issue. Don't over pay for this copy, the sound quality is terrible.
