i find myself back here streaming this album and listening to it whenever i can on wax. takes a few listens to really get into it, but i will always find something new to key on with each listen that i didn't pick up before. it's hard to put your finger on the character of the album itself, there are so many sonic twists and turns, so many different moods, so many different vibes and settings. amon tobin is a legend for this one, it pushes boundaries in both arrangement and texture that haven't really been topped to this day.

Bricolage is as amazing an album as Supermodified, imho. it is an easy jazzy ocean of orchestration i love and expect from Amon Tobin.

Great reissue. My copy is 98 % flat and quiet. To meit sounds better than the CD, too much compressed.

This is the kind of masterpiece which every music lover should have in this collection, such an incredible pleasure to listen from the 1st track to the last one.A must have.Check Cujo - adventures in foam, this is amazing too!Thank you Mr Amon.

Immaculate phantasmagoria. Assembled with the care and love. Flawlessly mixed and always ready to send you to another world. A truly inspirational piece of experimental sonic art, standing the test of time.

After hearing the CD version before grabbing a vinyl I'm gutted "Chomp Samba" isn't on here. Still an overall amazing album, sounds great on wax!

But you can get it on the separate single: https://www.discogs.com/Amon-Tobin-Chomp-Samba/release/31010

My copy (2xLP, gatefold) has a track titles mixed up. On record sticker, side D, 1st track is One Small Step, 2nd is Stoney Street and 3rd One Day In My Garden. Both vinyl & sleeve have proper order.

My experience is very similar to that of the reviewer below. Early on, it sounded excessively experimental and a bit harsh/annoying. Only after repeated listens did I realize how deep, mature, and intricate this music is. It's one of the most thoughtful DnB albums out there, which says a lot.

I could not say a better thing about Bricolage. I would be glad to meet you and listen music with you man ;)

Spot on.

Upon listening to this the first few times, I wasn't impressed. It sounded like a jumble of sounds - a live improvisation session, and not a particularly good one at that. Around my third listen it began to come alive, and I realised just how wrong I was. This is a highly structured and carefully composed album. It's only the raggedy grooves and huge range of sounds it employs that give the illusion of ad libbing. Or, more accurately, the raw, nonconservative feel that each track has. Listening carefully, the release draws you in with sheer atmosphere; sometimes dreary, sometimes frantic, other times happy. Each track is a gem in its own right. Highly recommended.

One day in my garden has to be my favorite on this album... It's like a story is told... You're walking a day in the garden and a storm is comming up, when the storm ends, the sun is shining again... One happy day in the garden after all... Beautifull!
