I bought this looking for a CD quality version of Liberation Vol. 2 only to be greeted upon the first 5 seconds of the track with a click from a clear vinyl rip!Other tracks are all clean CD sources so it wasn't a total waste but be wary if looking for a good copy of Liberation Vol. 2

Actually, NPR is offering directions for getting rid of a click/pop by removing the salient part of the wave, not telling you how to trim silence at the beginning of a track. Given you (Jarren) have clearly misunderstood the point, your attitude is a bit rude.

No I never got a digital copy sadly the hunt carries on

Thats exactly what i'm looking for , have you managed to track it down yet ?

You don't understand what Hidden_Agenda was meaning.Sure, anyone can remove empty silence from a track. You can do that with any media source. It still means you have a dirty vinyl rip. With a clean digital copy, you know it's from the original source (well at least back in 1993 you did).

I'd suggest opening up the wav/aiff in Audacity, or some other sound editing software, and just edit out the click. They are easy to see in the waveform view. You are only cutting out a tiny fraction of a second and it won't matter overall to the timing of the record when mixing. I do this all the time to remove clicks and cracks from records I have recorded that have the odd click here and there.
