Is André Holland influenced by European electronic 'drones'? They're all over virtually everything he does [including this]. But don't worry, here they're just a background for frenetic staccato electro beats, which are not made for you to scratch your chin to.

The record cover looks like a senator standing with his briefcase in hand at the top edge of the stairs leading to the US Capital Building. I suppose you have to use your imagination a bit, but in the background it looks like you can see the dome. I wonder how he did.

A1 is called I'm In and does do justice to its title. However, it is so repetitive that it is like watching a "professional" break a house in and tell - via his microphone; technology rules -, that he is in again and again.A2 is nearly as repetitive, but it is not as bothering. Just like in a game, A1 would be the track playing when the character enters and A2 would be the one playing as the hero is wandering inside, unnoticed. Here too, the title, They Will never know, is very well chosen. On B, the recurring flat drums that come over the straight beat imply a risky operation, while the dark synth line and effects clear all doubts about the stealthy context. Once again, title, The Extraction, fits like a glove.
