I really need an original sleeve for this if anyone comes across a spare!
  • Xanna
Unfortunately a very bad release. The quality of the two original tracks is not very good. I'm sure those were taken from vinyl. Guinnesmen has some very bad drop outs at the end.Somebody should run the extra mile and unearth the original master tapes, otherwise go and watch out for the original.

Please try again!

Nice reissue. I've compaired the songs with the original record and the sound quality is acceptable. Only thing is that this record is somehow a little lower in volume compaired to other 12inch records. Surely worth to buy.
  • Zyniam
Do you mean the original City Record 12" is already lower in volume?Otherwise, why should people settle for less?

Outstanding re-release. Truely a dream for a lot of collectors to finally get this legendary tracks. Respect to Vielspaß. And at the same time this release still leaves room for those collectors who wants to get one of the original copies with the famous sleeve. Great sound - okay a little low volume.

If they only had left out the remixes, and put efforts towards the lacquer cut, then it could have been among the greatest reissue ever made. It was close.

A horror of a artwork

Blame "Philo" and "Félix Hamelot". Terrible, indeed. But's italo, isn't it?
  • Andromakus
Unfortunately, this reissue (or at least the pressing I have..) is of quite poor quality considering it's official status. That's Impossible sounds thin and wooly, congested in the mid range, and Guinnesmen suffers from a shrillness and distortion on the vocals and some quite awful drop-outs towards the end of the song. I wrote to Vielspaß, to ask if this might be an isolated case, and they didn't reply.

I don't know who unburried this record... It's already there, since it was produced.Record is not bad for the price. I think they just choose the cheapest option and no test pressings were made. Seems the pressing has sold out already. I would buy further copies, if someone tries to make it better.

It's Flemming who unburried this track, thanks for that, but I wish he gave it a better second life, Sadly, Flemming's remixes have never brought anything to this art called "music". If he was more humble, he would have let the original cut take the best place on A1 and put his childish stuff on A2 or, even better, on the (distorted) B-side. The music we're now all after would at least have been listenable with a booming sound and without too many distortions.
  • Dalallador
Thin sounding record and low gain levels on the tracks. Original version should have been at least on one side with 45RPM. Don't quite get the point of remixing this release.
  • Doomwarden
The sound is not bad, but I'm pretty sure the outcome would have been better, if they put only one track (That's Impossible) on A-side 45 rpm. The remixes give me nothing, sorry to say that. I can only hope that maybe in a few years another record company will try it again - it's a Manhattan Project.

Side A is badSide B is a bit betterBottom line : if you willing in good RICCARDO MAGGESE production, search "High Version" from the same label.
