"Into the Dragon" was Tim Simenon having fun, "Unknown Territory" is where he matured, "Clear" is where he got pretentious. You may had heard the funky "Bug Powder Dust" and rushed to buy the album, but then you probably got somewhat dissappointed, because the rest of the material is nowhere near the big-beat drive of the first track. Some socially and politically conscious songs, some spoken-word ventures and one minimalistic ambient interlude ("Somewhere" - an unexpected highlight). If you're patient enough, some of the tracks may grow on you (e.g. I find myself strangely amused by the morbid lyrics and arrangement of "5ml. Barrel"), but overall - this is a mixed bag.

This album did nearly as much for Tim's Bomb The Bass name as Into The Dragon. It gained the attention of artists like Depeche Mode and turned Tim into a producer as much as an artist.

I bought this album because hoping to find the electronic tune that was made for the PC/Amiga game Xenon 2: Megablast.. or something similar. Though the game did indeed state that the music was in fact by Bomb The Bass, the album had nothing to do with any of that action. Still, a decent album with some lyrics that were bordering between smooth and tacks'. One great thing came out of it, though: If You Reach The Border Feat.- Leslie Winer , give that minimalist one a listen.
