Horrible. Lacks of any idea, no real melody, the sonic timbre is very rudimentary a flanged tiny trumpet-like sound forced all along. Want to sound like a synth but not really because it would be a kind of blasphemy, but for a synth sounding it's childish, chocked, nothing. No chord progress at all, no real worthy instrumentation, nothing but terrible kitches of the otherworldy-wanna-be jazz contemporary elements. Broken, chaotic, half-way electronised, random pieces. There's NO music at all, NO idea, nothing. There's nothing what an amatheur couldn't do the same (phrobably not on trumpet or flugelhorn of course, but, say on synth). This is not for the soul. A real and typical garbage of a jazzist who don't know where to go and what to do in the wide music-field and losts..... Sorry.

Another incredible otherworldly album by Jon Hassell. Glad to finally have this back in the collection. If you've heard any of his albums then you will know what this sounds like nothing new here (except everything). I would be hard pressed to do a better job of reviewing this so definitely track this one down. The only complaint I have and it's minimal is that for this 3cd set they added in only 2 of the 4 remixes from the separate 12' that was released, wonder why 2 were left off? Anyway, small complaint that does not take anything away from the enjoyement of the album and all of it's extra's.
