Indeed HarlemsFinest, I tend to agree - this is a stellar pressing. True North has used different pressing facilities in recent years, so unless they are willing to divulge that information, we probably won't find out, as the matrix info is not revealing. Physically I would say this pressing is about as perfect as vinyl can get, given the limitations of the medium. The vinyl I am spinning right now as I type this has no signs of handling whatsoever, so it is clear that great care was taken in its manufacture and packaging. As for the recording itself, the flaws are very minor, brief, and track-specific. Despite the best efforts of recording and mastering engineers, some flaws are nearly impossible to overcome. Most people will not even notice them. I certainly have no criticism of the performance. Colin James has spent more than 30 years honing his craft and his talent shines along with the superb musicians in this project. He should be quite proud of the results. Well done Mr. James!
