This tune deserves some recognition as a great and memorable infected release. This is an (acid[ish]) techno re-working of a classic dancefloor tune which has been re-worked and re-released so many times that I can't find the details of the original release on discogs! I got right the way up to release number 74 looking for the original version of 'last night a dj saved my life', before the titles started to get silly (ie 'last night a dj stole my wife'). Perhaps this is a world record for the most remixed tune ever? Anyway,, this is my favourite version, just because it's good laughy acid fun, and not to be taken seriously. It's quite a slow groove (maybe 130 - 135 bpm?), with a bouncy bassline, sweet sounding filtered hats and guest vocals by (what sound's like) Stephen Hawkins. I think the word 'bitch' is also in it somewhere, which is something that you won't hear the eminent professor of physics say very often. Guy McAffer and Rowland The Bastard did a great job of re-working this tune (which had potential to sound really, really bad), into a respectable piece of good vibe techno, which will make any dance floor smile. Many thanks 'INFECTED',, some more of this would be nice.....................;-)
