I hear bits of the Nazz's sound, but also hints of latter Love for the energy and some of the vocals, and maybe Moby Grape for some of the driving, good-time rhythms. The busy musicianship (especially the bass and lead guitar) kinda supercharges the songs in a good way and makes them more interesting.The two ND Smart numbers aren't as good as the rest, though Frog Giggin' is good for a laugh I guess. Kangaroo also have this weird-ass crazy psych guitar sound going on which reminds me of the Electric Prunes' "make your guitar sound like a sitar!" Vox ad, maybe with some backwards parts thrown in. Alan Merrill from the Arrows once mentioned in a forum how he saw them play live and the guitarist didn't use any effects! The songs with the girl singing are quieter, with vocals somewhat in the British folk-rock style. Faves: You're Trying To Be A Woman, Such A Long Long Time, and Happy Man.
