The string instrument: the shamisen, is not listed in the notes as a shamisen. Instead, it is listed by both following alternative names for that instrument: "sangen", and the less usual hyphenated form: "san-gen".

The last piece, "The Four Elements", sounds as if there are a few touches of percussion instruments being performed. There is, however, no mention of them in the roster. The sounds do not seem generatable by the instruments being used. Though the sparseness of presence, could allow one of the performers to double on percussion. (track 15: gong and clave-like instrument sound near beginning and end ; track 16: clave-like strike near beginning)
