Great to have all these remixes all on cd and all in one place.Having said that, I love what Dimitri did with the mixes in general, EXCEPT for the speeding up/time stretching most of these songs. I would have preferred them at the original tempo.Disc 2 is what I find myself listening to more-so here, as it is all the instrumental mixes of the songs on cd1. This is a REAL TREAT, as Chic never released instrumental versions back in the day. (this still remains a mystery to me)

Dimitri has consistently been in my list of top remixers for years and I doubt that there are (m)any dance music fans who need introduction to him. This compilation includes some excellent work with tracks 1 to 7 being off-the-scale feel good tracks. Then comes a bit of a disappointment for me: (7) Chic - I Feel Your Love Comin' On is such a weak track that it should not have been included in my opinion. It pulled my mood down to a level that I only managed to appreciate (8) Sister Sledge - Got To Love Somebody on a second listen after skipping the previous track. The closing track (9) Sheila & B.Devotion - Your Love Is Good is only so-so and better appreciated in the instrumental version on disc 2 which by the way is great to have. Dimitri has shown on other projects like the Japanese Bonus disc for Dimitri From Paris - Get Down With The Philly Sound: A Very Special Collection By Dimitri From Paris how strong his edits are even without vocals.The release does not state this but five of the (vocal) remixes were previously released on Nile Rodgers Presents The Chic Organization* - Box Set Vol. 1 / "Savoir Faire" (Norma Jean Wright - Saturday, Chic - I Want Your Love, Sister Sledge - Lost In Music, Sister Sledge - Thinking Of You, Chic - I Feel Your Love Comin' On.

Dimitri's mix of "I feel your love" was brought the song to new heights in my opinion. Very dubby.
