For their second album, Les Jardiniers go on a MOON PATROL, though their tracks stay strictly terrestrial. "Alpine Fever," for instance, brings in some guitars to guide the beats, while "Tokyo Racer" sticks with the electronics. "Molokai," meanwhile, amps up the jazz factor for a more downtempo track, and the deep "Sassysonic" cruises along on bass alone. But the title track returns us to house, while the electro breaks on "Poupée Folle" add a neat texture (though the rock guitars on "Freelance" is more dodgy). "Vacuum Factory" sweeps back into space for a slow, blissful track, before "La Playa" joins it on the beach and "Tour de Glace" on the icy slopes. "Stag-Hunting" raises the tempo back up and the less said about the gratingly cheesy "Poupée Folle (Lollypop Mix)," the better. Perhaps not as strong as their debut, but still pleasing.

Second album for "Les Jardiniers". Deception to learn that Sylvain Houde left the band. Anyway, he is still involved in a few tracks on this album, such as "Tour de Glace", a fantastic funny downtempo track, which always makes me imagine a drunk man on Christmas eve, walking in the snow. As much as strong as "Cafeteria", "Moon Patrol" contains more downtempo stuff or experimental electro tracks. The major surprise for me was to hear "Poupée Folle" (the last track), which was released as first commercial single. It is the worst thing they ever came up with in my opinion. It's like competing with Aqua's "Barbie Girl". Sadly, a poor promo surrounded this album. "Sassysonic" was the second and last single. For the quality of the tracks on this record, I would have expected more. 4/5

Beautiful house album from the duo from Montreal. Really nice track, like Stag-Hunting and Sassysonic. The last track is a remix of the 8th song, Poupée Folle. really more "poppy" than the rest of the album, it's still a really nice song.
