I have to agree. This is a completely underrated lp. Although it will probably be slotted into the clumsily titled 'IDM' genre, it's imaginitive, melodically creative, and ... well, fairly awesome actually...

i agree. i've kept quiet about it since i haven't heard a drop of news with this duo, but all in all this was my favourite listen of the year for 2003. to this day i keep it high in my playlist. compositionally, both as an album and with individual tracks, it excels. i would suppose that many listeners don't consider it original enough, or engaging enough compared to similar releases of that year, but ambulance's ability to get what they want out of their equipment is, in my opinion, unmatched by most. the attitude of this album is all over the place and i like the suitcase of ideas they brought to the table. still waiting to hear from them!

I don't understand why this album is not a classic? It's one of the best albums on Planet Mu records and it's very rarely talked about. Ambulance are a mix of some of the best artist out there at the moment like Brothomstates, Plaid and Autechre rolled all into one. A very strong release in my eyes.
