Anyone know if this is the first of another trilogy, or a stand-alone, or if Fovea Hex are still active?

Thank you MUCH. I've pre-ordered the limited 10" with CD and remix CD. I am surprised the Janet Records news email didn't tell me of this. I'd gotten one recently saying something good was to be announced soon, but then never got anything about when or where to go when pre-orders were being accepted. At any rate, I very much appreciate your message. I assumed there would probably be three, eventually. I think it is a good idea to release these recordings in small doses... allows the listener, forces the appreciative listener, to absorb and be absorbed by the music between releases. Stating the obvious, but all this glut of so much, too much maybe, in all formats, with so many people making albums on computers in isolation... some bad, many mediocre, some really good, makes for lots to explore, but I sometimes feel like a bad traveler passing through many places, collecting postcards, getting pick-pocketed now and then, but not much else. Fovea Hex makes music that is somewhat more like a place than many artists, and to get it at all, one needs to stay awhile and take in the heart of the place. Though Fovea Hex seems always to receive favorable reviews in the few places that know of them and review them, I wouldn't trust any reviewer that has listened once or twice. The lyrics alone, on the surface seemingly simple and minimal, but with focused attention, each line can open up, become a deep well, or a ladder to heaven... unlike in the song, these windows do open. I read that Eno was involved again on this release. He always favored short albums of around a half hour, though I don't think he always kept things this short. Fovea Hex gives you fifteen minutes at a time, give or take a bit. I do always look forward to the full project being released in full (Neither Speak nor Remain Silent), but this is because each of the parts have already become a part of my musical, lyrical, even spiritual landscape. I prefer the full Neither Speak... to "This is Where We Used to Sing," and partly because it is a bit darker in mood and atmosphere, but also because I simply know the songs better because of how they came out in three installments. Apologies for writing at length, and for stating the obvious. I very much like Fovea Hex and am happy to be clued in on the limited pre-order, so thank you again.

The Salt Garden Part 2 10" is now available to pre-order. Preorders come with a copy of the EP on CD and an additional remix on CD (not by Steven Wilson this time). There will be a part 3 to look forward to in the future!
