His worst album ever deadbeat gone to pop music ????

If you're expecting anything like the slower paces of "Wildlife Documentaries" or "Something Borrowed, Something Blue" both great albums), look elsewhere.. Deadbeat has moved into the realm of dancefloor, dub-techno, which is evident in this nice 2x12". "Little Darling", in particular, is an upbeat banger of a dub-techno tune - worth picking up the album for this track alone. Really gets the floor moving...particularly when the earthshaking baseline kicks in!

As a long-time and dare I say die-hard Deadbeat fan, I have to say that his releases are constantly getting more and more bland, dull, generic, unimaginative and just plain boring. I think Mr. Monteith should look back at his ~scape releases, contemplate a bit, and find out how a proper album created by the artist of his capabilities could look and sound like. So Mr. Monteith, please wake up from your long Berlin dream a try to give us back those euphoric moments filled with excitement we had when listening to your gems like New World Observer. Peace and good luck.

I agree totally, you point the right thing in your review. I'm a big big fan of Tikiman aka Paul St Hilaire and also Deadbeat 's one since the beginning. In the early 2000's, an album of Deadbeat w/Tikiman would have been something great. But now the riddims are featureless and the singer seems to place the usual subjects without conviction. One of the biggest musical deception of my life. Surprinsigly, i see some people give a 5 or 4 stars to this album. So the Rhythm & Sound w/Tikiman 'Showcase' and Deadbeat 'Wild Life Documentaries' are 10 stars at least!
