Another classic tune. Mixmag claimed that The Prodigy killed rave with Charly, and set off that trend of annoying kid's TV themed rave tunes such as Shaft's Rhubarb and Custard. Well what a way of rebelling against 'kiddie rave', sample Stephen King's IT! I'm glad I have a repress of this.

It's 1993. I walked into Black Market records in my lunch break and went downstairs, where Ray Keith and Nicky Blackmarket were doing their thing behind the counter. This tune was being played at full blast, upon which I yelled, I'll have a copy of this, to which Nicky screamed back, you'll need the original as well, slapping both on the counter. How my hearing still works I don't know, but Pennywise sums up 1993 hardcore in an instant.

So Is the Micky Finn or Clown remix better than the original? Its up to you, all I can say is this release as well as the original mix was 92 UK hardcore/drum and bass at its very best. A massive anthem, fantastic dark film samples (from the Stephen King book/film "IT") swirling basslines, tight drum loops that was caned all over the country by the hardcore and Techno DJ's. A must have 12" that still sounds quality today.
