Track A5, Betty Everett "Please Love Me". Is a true masterpiece. Betty Everett's vocals are so emotionally raw, one can almost feel her torment. Essentially she is crying out for her object of desire to love her the way she loves him, a common theme throughout all popular music. However the way Mrs. Everett delievers the tune, she just takes it to a different stratosphere! As far as the music itself goes, the rhythm section rumbles as the horns soar. I have played this in public a couple times, it was most effective as a last song of the night. The record was released on a budget label and seems to turn up quite regularly and at a low price (at least in Midwestern, USA), so if you see it, buy it.
