By his drowning on 29 May 1997 is the successor of Jeff Buckley's impressive debut Grace never published. On the first cd of the double album Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk are recordings that were made during sessions with his band and producer Tom Verlaine. A number of songs sounds in comparison with Grace what ordinary, but in Everybody Here Wants You, Yard or Blonde Girls and intense You & I we hear Buckley again at its best. The second disc consists mainly of four-track recordings that Buckley himself made and were the starting point for sessions with Grace-producer Andy Wallace. That are more ' disturbed ' side forward. In especially by Sonic Youth influenced numbers he is looking for new forms for his music.
