This is the OG press and bought locally in NOLA around the time it was dropped. I have found nothing of this release except for mine. I don't remember if I bought this one new or used, but it was locally and is the real deal. I'm wondering if this was either the master release done by Cash Money before it was actually officially released or this was the first run released on the streets then ran out and ordered more with the exclusion of the "B/M7" publishing credit and the "Explicit Lyrics: Yes" inside the notes. Whichever it is, it's hella rare! I also noticed that the 1998 OG cover is lighter (less vivid in color) than the real OG 1997 version which is more darker and vivid looking; most re-releases are like that due to the manufacturer using a scan of the OG to print. If anybody else has one like mine, please email me. Thanks.

Overall the music is the same, maybe a little more fresh (richer in bit rate). I really don't know if there was any extra compression or efx added to the official retail release. Honestly can't tell the difference.

It was probably the first run. I know that Big Boy used to send their masters to Pen & Pixel (according to D-Funk). I'm not positive whether P&P had access to manufacturing equipment (or a deal with a MFG plant), or if P&P simply mailed the master along with their graphics to Disc Makers (or someone else) in those cases. I'd wager this pressing was from a small first run order, and the other version is a 2nd run they did in higher numbers. Have you compared the music on both?
