One of my all time favorite discs. Awesome samples, pounding beats, you can't go wrong with this one. Wish there was a vinyl release!

This is a great album. It's up there with all the best EBM and dark electronic albums of the late 80s by groups like Nitzer Ebb, Clock DVA, Front 242, Manufacture etc... it's much darker and harsher than most of its contemporaries. I find the mix to be a bit off putting, but I guess that's the point. The synth bass is there but it gets washed over by a wall of harsh noise coming from the many 80s film/war samples and other dark ambient trickery. It reminds me of the difference between the first two "cleanly" produced Stooges albums, and the 3rd one (Raw Power) which was way nosier and harsher. I think this definitely in the top 10 for EBM, i'd be curious if it would ever be remastered... In any case, good way to destroy and clear a dance floor at 3am >:)5/5

This album was origianlly recorded in 1989, at a time when many of the production methods and musical styles on this album had not yet been explored. But due to a conflict between the 2 record labels who were initally going to release it, it did not get actually released until 1992, by which time many of the styles on this CD were rendered out of date.

I am not sure if this album is a side project of Brian Lustmord or just an exploration of a different style. Most of his material that I have listened to sets the standard for "Dark Ambient," a standard that is familiar to many people. It is therefore easy to make a comparison of another artist's work to that of Lustmord. Yet this release seems to lean more towards "Metal" while still retaining a pleasing electronic spirit. There are also some vocal tracks interspersed throughout that enhance the very nice, yet dark electronic passages. The artwork pictures, among other things, various types of firearms, lending a clue to the material within. A couple of tracks feature some machinegun-type sounds that are not overdone. Rather, they compliment the rest of the material nicely. This album is not much like his other "Ambient" releases. It is a very powerful, dark, enjoyable listen that belongs in the collection of every Brian Lustmord fan. Joe McDonald
