Soofle - Nouveau EP flac mp3 download

Every single track on this EP is sheer class. The production is pin clear with the 808's cracking bright sparks into the mix demonstrating what an amazing producer Ludovic Navarre was in his own right and the many tracks he produced for his FNAC stable mates. This EP is a deep house classic but there are many, many shiny techno influences in there as well. Rather than evolving a single groove Ludovic takes you on a journey of musicality and moody chords over all the 4 tracks on the EP. 'How Do You Plead ?' is my stand out track if only for the great vocal snatches reminiscent of his best known 'Alabama Blues' cut. Perhaps not so well known is the vocal snippet '....wanna be with you...' is sampled from a Ralphie Dee cut from 1991 http://www.discogs.com/Final-Word-Wanna-Be-With-You/release/1204188 not that it detracts from the originality and sweet tones of 'How Do You Plead ?'. I can't recommend this EP enough and if you are new to Ludovic's work or only know of St Germain you should pick this EP up or the 1st FNAC compilation to investigate the formidable talents of this shy but magnificent electronic artist.
