Querlaca

Classic Peace Division here. All but one of the tracks here fit nicely in a dark, NYC-style tribal progressive set. James Holden's "I Have Put Out The Light" is the odd man out on this album but not for quality reasons. The only reason it doesnt fit is because it contains melodic elements that I would not expect to hear from PD but nonetheless this entire album is a must have for people that love PD's dark sound.

Gogul

Sounding more like a Global Underground release than anything else, I found this to be somewhat of a blight on the rest of the Nitelife series. For NRK to allow a departure into other styles is great news, but when it happens it has to be done well. I am struggling to pick a single track off of this release that isnt generic and well, dull. Not being a great fan of progressive, I tried to be open minded about this but the more I listened to it the more it sounded like the soundtrack to a really depressing sci-fi film.
