Coroner - R.I.P flac mp3 download

For those in the know, are these recent vinyl reissues worth pursuit or would I be better off hunting down an older CD pressing (can't afford the original vinyl)? Hope to hear from someone that may comment

I just got my vinyl copies of “R.I.P.”(this one) and “Punishment For Decadence” and I have so far only listened to “R.I.P” all the way through and judged it very closely because I was reading negative reviews on here about these vinyl reissues from others after I already purchased all 3 of course and here is my assessment of this reissue so far. The packaging and cover/back cover image are not particularly impressive in their reproduction with the images being less defined and somewhat blurry and it contains no inner lyric sheet and the record comes in one of those cheap paper inner sleeves which of course I immediately replaced with a poly lined inner sleeve. I cleaned each side of the record 4 times (8 times total) before placing on my turntable and adjusted the bass on my speaker system to about 7.5 out of 10 to ensure a nice thick sound since I was prepared for a weak sound because others have said as much and referring to the audio quality as bootleg. As was mentioned by others I noticed the volume was on the low side so being a resourceful individual I came up with the idea to turn up the volume knob, to my amazement it did the trick. Now all sarcasm aside, I was very surprised at the audio quality that came leaping out of my speakers. I have already heard these albums and so I am familiar with the somewhat weak production these albums have but it depends on how you look at it, to me I don’t think these albums have weak production and I actually think these unique 80s productions have always given them character and that has nothing to do with these vinyl reissues, if you are used to stale modern metal productions then obviously you aren’t going to dig these or understand them. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the reissues of these classic albums on vinyl and think they did a great job from how they sound on my audio setup, which is more than adequate. The drums are clearer, the bass is right up front and you can hear every one of Ron’s bass lines and Tommy’s guitar sounds rich and sharp with that classic Harris Johns reverb drenched guitar tone. I don’t know what the other reviewers’ circumstances were upon listening to this reissue but personally I listen to and now own a great deal of original and reissued Metal vinyls and I can honestly say this one passed the test for me and I’m quite happy to now own this classic neo classical Thrashterpiece on vinyl. Coroner rules!

Damn guys I just ordered “R.I.P.” “Punishment For Decadence” And “No More Color” on these vinyl reissues and was super excited but now I’m hearing you guys give these things bad reviews what gives? Is the audio quality really that bad on these? I have bought many Century Media vinyl reissues and they are some of the most impressive sounding vinyls I have ever purchased so I don’t understand how these ones could be so bad as to be compared to Bootlegs?

Junk. Paper thin outer jacket so thin that if you look at it wrong it folds over. Crap vinyl. Nothing special about this at all.

Any Coroner fan will agree that the great news about reissues of their albums was exciting...After buying them, the first impression is a bit deceptive.. Shame that Century Media, Sony and Columbia are behind this reissue, you could think about a decent bootleg copy!!! The crackle noise between songs is loud, after cleaning the record before playing it, obviously. No insert lyrics, cheap white thin paper sleeve, tracklist copied from cd from 1 to 13, Side A/B non specifications and no title/ref on spine, just plain black! Come'on, it's 2018, this label could have been better when we're talking about one of the greatest metal bands from Europe!!!

I agree completely. Very poor edition, like a bootleg.I am tottaly desappointed.
