Carl Cox's third album, SECOND SIGN, comes all mixed up, with a bevy of producers to help him out. The three-beat of "That's The Bass (Cox's Rock Drums Mix)" shows some of Normal Cook's hands in it, but the house vibe on "Give Me Your Love" or the remix of "Feel the Real" are purely Cox's. Phats and Small put a club spin on "If I Fall (Would You Let Me?)," while "Ain't It Funky Now?" goes for a disco vibe. You can hear a bit of Kevin Saunderson's Detroitian touch on "Vibes of Energy," and Roni Size brings his inimitable bassline to "Open Book." The drum 'n' bass comes instead on "Got What You Paid 4!" and the Drum And Latin Version of "If I Fall (Would You Let Me?)" ends the album on a jazzy note. Sign on!
