I bought this when it first came out for the "Desert Fairy Princess" Which is a cover of the Nimbus West recordings by Adele Sabastion and HORACE TAPSCOTT Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, which now go for a lot of money and this is decent alternative take on what is now becoming a spiritual jazz master piece.

This is music of a truly exquisite standard. On the sleeve you see one track, over twenty two minutes, modal jazz and you might think; this could be a bit pretentious. Don’t. There are stunning and elegant sections throughout this album. Interplay between the adroit group of musicians is central to the potency of the record, but at the same time at no point does anyone overplay.This is cold, skilfully executed jazz and at the moment you can get a copy for about five quid. But not my copy. I’ll be keeping hold of this one.
