For anyone wondering, it is indeed the instrumental version "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" by The Dream Academy. Been wanting that version on CD for 30 years! Obviously there are some key tracks missing (The Beatles "Twist and Shout," English Beat "March of the Swivelheads") but those are available elsewhere.

You're not alone on waiting this long! Actually, I have seen the movie for the first time in 1988 and have always loved it since then! One of the best comedies ever!

Awesome collection. "Beat City" by The Flowerpot Men is a new mix and is slightly different from the original 7" fan club release but still just as good. I don't think most folks have never heard the complete original version. The booklet also features tons of notes about the score & music of the movie. I'd say thumbs up if you can grab a copy.
