Oh boy oh boy, what a nifty, surprising treat! I'm somewhat familiar with O'Hearn from the old days, which is to say, *my* old days. Days of, shall we say, "indulging," and wandering around with my trusty Walkman, tripping out to New Age music (the good (mostly electronic) stuff; none of that Yanni/John Tesh/etc tripe for me). So when I saw this, and the release year, I thought "hmm that guy goes a ways back... wonder how his work has been influenced by the techno revolution."Well... hah! Yowza. Very sweet, rich, moving, textured, layered, expertly engineered... Everything you could want in a mellow ambient musical journey. My only complaint is that it's too short! (Only 45 mins.) Don't be fooled by the somewhat plain, bland first track; this ain't your parents' New Age. This is the work of a guy who has kept up and evolved with the times, and who knew what he was doing right from the start. I feel sure he did that first track on purpose as a set-up. This album gets downright funky and bumpin' at times.

This is a great ambient album - beautiful short compositions with varying styles. Flies under the radar, can't even remember how I found it. Slow Time, Where We Once Stood are my go to but the whole album is nice to listen to with a nice cover also.
