  • Garne
No one can do it better. No one has done it better. No one will do it better.
  • Brightcaster
I don't think I could have said what "Apeman" said better.
  • Watikalate
Anyone know if the grand finale is uncensored on this release?
  • Azago
I bought it, and i confirm that it's the uncensored version, anyway I don't like much the print
  • Ricep
No I never committed being unsure if it is censored or not
  • FRAY
Did you buy it? I don't want the clean version too
  • Hadadel
VG copies are now worth $50? Yeah right. These people are getting worse than ebay sellers.
  • olgasmile
My thoughts exactly man. I switched to Discogs years ago to avoid ruthless sellers on Ebay. How the tables have turned.Even records that were selling (and worth) $5 are now suddenly valued at $30...... No quality control, no perspective, just douchebags riding the current of vinyl resurrection.......it sounds so good, yada, yada, yaddaaa,....the gentrification of vinyl has begun
  • Vizuru
Beware, the final track on this edition is heavily censored.
  • Gavirgas
Are all of these (partly) clean LPs? Or are there clean and dirty versions with the same cat. no.? Best, R.
  • Kecq
Good question always found it strange that Grand Finale with NWA was edited while most other tracks were not...
  • Fomand
Yes the album is completly cleanthey recorded one "dirty" track called "Bridgette" but they took the song in the last minute away from the album
  • Erthai
This is another classic west coast hip-hop album. The DOC was ahead of his time and truly "the kid with the golden voice." Lyrically, he was the west coast version of the great Rakim, with better production. The album is solid with very little fast forwarding (only the interludes after you have heard them a few times). It's unfortunate that he lost his voice in a car accident after this album, because there is no telling how far he could have gone as an artist. Since the accident, he has had a successful career producing and writing for other artists and has been involved with many other classic west coast albums. For those looking for a history lesson on the foundation of west coast rap, this record is a must have.

Now THIS has to be the single most underrated hip-hop masterpiece of all time. Forget Chronic, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, Eazy-Duz It, and even good ol' Straight Outta Compton, this is by far the best thing ever to come out of the NWA family. The DOC has one of the most amazing flows you could ever ask for in a rapper, and Dr. Dre's production in my opinion is at it's best here. It is truely funky, even funkier than Dre's 90's G-Funk material, this is just as funky as people like James Brown and George Clinton, this is just too cool. Some of the younger kids might be dissapointed that there is very little cussing, and almost no Guns and Bitches in the lyrics (which I actually really like, since I am not the biggest fan of Gangsta Rap), but don't worry, the rest of the NWA posse (Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and Eazy "Muthaf**kin" E) are in full effect cussing and saying offensive things for the Grand Finale track at the end, which ends the LP on a fantastic note. Absolutely incredible!

I would agree 100% . It's the most refined and inspired Solo project before the Fall of Rap. The albums you mention (except anything with Eazy E - I dispised Eazy E because I always knew Ice Cube wrote his lyrics and I hated his voice) are all 'classics' but the other Solo projects suffer from bloat. The fact the guy was very particular about his choice of lyrics (no denegration of language) puts this even higher on the pedestal. We all know it takes more intelligence to NOT cuss.
