An earlier version was recorded as a possible single B-side at Decca Studios on March 12, 1968.

Both parts of the single were previously available on the EMI/Ryko reissue of the album 'Space Oddity' in 1990
2-12: A previously unreleased mix of the full band album version.
2-13: A previously unreleased mix of the album version clocks in over two minutes longer than the original mix.
2-14: recording info as per track 2-7.
However this alternate stereo mix is previously unreleased.
2-15: This Italian version of 'Space Oddity', translated as 'Lonely Boy, Lonely Girl' was recorded at Morgan Studios on December 20th, 1969 and released in Italy in 1970.
