This is indeed a great album for listening to on the bus, at least most of the way through. I think the title and design were totally sincere about that. Same thick Proem vibes we know and love, but it feels a little more confident than earlier work - not slick but friendly, relaxed. "Radius" stands out strong here with a simple sunny melody and simple but effective grainy Proem drums. The rest of the album is pleasant, certainly great for imbibing the passing scenery while someone else drives. However, I was kind of let down with the last 3 (4, I guess, because track 9 has a built in "secret" track) as they break from the nice public transportation vibe. The Nautilis track is corny too but I'm generally not a big fan of his remixes. Overall, really good but if you're like me you'll skip track 7 and 8 and only listen to the last one if you're in the right mood (i.e. not on the bus.)

Probably Proems best EP in my opinion. Crunchy IDM beats that only Proem can deliver. I'd have to say track 9 (afternoon nap) is probably my favorite on this CD, and one of my favorite Proem tracks period. It has a nice, minimal ambient vibe to it. This release is limited to 1000 copies.. so if you're a fan of Proem and don't have it yet.. act fast!

This is a nice release, classic Proem in my eyes... Technologically advanced, yet listenable, accessible, human. Many of these songs indeed wouldn't sound out of place being played on city buses, I certainly wouldn't mind. Route 1 is another one of those tracks that is what I strive to find, the perfect balance between beauty and chaos, the beat is very hard and intense but the ambient chords are so gorgeous, leaving it in a fine balance. Lovely. Slevoh is a slower trippy sounding track, with one of the most pleasant melodies... I believe that the real icing on the cake of S4TCB comes in form of the two remixes featured on here. The Nautilis remix of Route 1 tweaks the glitch a bit and adds the most amazing sounding computer voice on the vocals, I can't make out what it is saying but it's used in the most beautiful way. The Esem remix by FAR my favourite track on S4TCB, changing Cynical Landlord into a track that changes from a fractured synth sound to a flowing mix of chords that is just undeniably awesome, this is probably one of the best songs I have heard in a long time in it's own right. This is another very consistent effort from Proem, don't let the fact that it is a mini-album throw you off, it's just as essential as any of his other releases. Five star. Pick this one up by any means necessary.
