I would say that the sound quality is well better than marginal, especially for the time. The best way to experience this LP is to close your eyes and imagine yourself there. It's clear from the stage noise and the crowd's laughter at points that this was a performance that married theater and live music. It's also a very mellow album throughout as "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" ambles around the mellow build-up and never explodes the way it does on the studio version or the live versions from Ummagumma and Live at Pompeii.All in all a very enjoyable listen for relaxation and a good LP for die-hard Floyd fans, especially those who like owning historical curiosities.

Really, a quite good recording of this incredibly rare material. Truly very listenable.

The new vinyl edition of this concert , namely the "Rise" and "Shine" albums , are the best quality recordings that I've heard of this gig. For Floyd fanatics it is pretty essential , it finds the band in very relaxed mood , clearly enjoying themselves, and don't forget it is the ONLY live recording of "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" that has surfaced so far, and it bears little resemblance to it's studio counterpart. Great stuff for the intrepid Floyd collector (lovely pressing and packaging too).
