I think people like Eddie Jobson due to his use of the Yamaha CS-80 synthesizer (as used on all 3 U.K albums and his Zinc/Green album) - it has an other-world-ly sound, no other synthesizer or VST can match it and the fact it is not present here is why a lot of people don't like it, and I have to agree, it just doesn't have much life in it compared to his earlier work. Also, Private Music is a subsidiary of Windham Hill Records, a label for ambient, new-age music and not progressive rock. Bring back your CS-80 Ed!

Very polished and hand crafted kitsch all along. Horrible sounds, extremely tasteless progresses, cheesy, pointless melodies, single-minded synthesizer. Everything is typical: a man who has no real sense to things gets a high-end chance and expresses something basically rudimentary what he considers to be art but the whole thing turns out to be a sonic nightmare at the side of the listener...

Love the Album since it came out. I am happy to have it again after nearly 25 years. Great not so common electronic music. Please listen yourself to judge !!!!
  • Balladolbine
One of the worst album in it's genre (new-age, ambient, progressive synth music), and one of the worst albums I've ever heard and collectorwise it means thousands of albums!!! No sense for the sonic timbres at all (despite of the high-tech synth-usage which is Synclavier), no melody, no dramatic developements almost at all. Very childish metaphisics. Highly UNrecommended! You better spend your spare money on something wise....

Thousands of albums!!! ...and this is one of the worst? You should post a list, I think the world needs to know of your incredible collection.

I am totally disagree with ttooyyss review. This album is a masterpiece of soundscapes.
